George-Michael Bluth dreams about being the kind of guy who can make things happen.
Okay, let's be honest. George-Michael dreams about his cousin Maeby. He dreams that she's not his cousin, which is great -- but even better is when she is still his cousin and it just doesn't matter. Those are the dreams he wakes up from sweating. Those are the dreams that are kind of disturbing. George Michael doesn't like to think about what it means that she's hotter because she's his cousin.
Sometimes he thinks about Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Oscar and wonders if it's genetic. Those thoughts he hurries out of his head very quickly.
But if George-Michael could access the deepest levels of his subconscious, and remember the dreams he has during the deepest parts of sleep -- when, actually, most people don't dream -- George-Michael would know that even beyond wanting to touch Maeby in the bad places, he wants to be the kind of guy who can make things happen, the kind of guy who isn't in love with his cousin, the kind of guy...
Well, the kind of guy people like. A guy like his dad. But without all the bad stuff that happens in his dad's world. In George-Michael World, only good stuff would happen to the good guys, and George-Michael would be the good guy that makes all the good stuff happen.
But since George-Michael doesn't realize that he dreams about this stuff, he just keeps on feeling guilty that he thinks Maeby is hot. He'll learn, eventually, that guilt is a pretty wasted emotion when it comes to sex. At least he's not like his uncle Gob, who dreams about the day when he'll return triumphant, with a giant erection, to the world of professional magic. That's a story for another time, though.
